Photography
Brought a Film Camera to click under limitation.
For as long as I can remember, photography has always been there with me. There are photographs of me as a kid, there was a film camera my family carried to tours. Then my dad asked my cousin to get a digital camera while coming back from US. Perhaps, that acted as a catalyst and boosted my enthusiasm to click pictures as I was no more bound by number of reels and wasting the reels.
So much so that at one point, all I did was point the camera at anything and everything; like a banana in a monkey’s hand, my mom would declare. Till the batteries ran out and the card was full, I kept on clicking. Now, in retrospection, I realize how immature and blinded I was. There was no thought behind the pictures I clicked, no composition.
As I learnt concepts online, I understood the nuances of photography and its philosophy. I was not bounded by the number of reels but I was now bounded by the thought behind each image and what impact it makes or what thought it evoked in the minds of viewers.
In 2015, I transitioned to DSLR. Knowing the philosophy of photography already, it was a head start into basics of advanced photography. Now, I think I am a better photographer than I was earlier. Of course, the transition is inevitable, if you keep learning it. But, it doesn’t end here. There are many lessons to learn and many pictures to click.
Bye!
